Book: Aging and the Ethics of Longevity Science

Epigraph for my new book is Lewis’s summary of John Dewey’s pragmatism. This brilliant insight aptly applies to longevity science in the 21st century. In particular the century of experimental science that has progressed from dietary restriction to alter aging and lifespan in rodents to drug development today that might increase the healthspan of aging human populations.

The book is now available to download for free as an open access book from Oxford University Press. The book builds on 20 years of research and the last decade of my thinking and writing on the fascinating topic of the ethics of translational gerontology.
